Out for one of my many lonely Saturday walks, I decide to pop into the local watering hole for "just one beer". Amidst the buzzing garden, I smelt smoke. Not cigarette smoke, wood smoke. Fire?! I thought, but no one was panicking. Half a pint of fresh Doombar in hand I began to investigate. Then I saw it, spinning like an unrisen UFO in the sky, "pizza dough" my internal monologue asked "pizza in a pub?". There standing proud was a huge wood fire pizza oven with two chefs (later I found out they're described a Pizziolas or pizza artists) spinning pizzas up to 8 feet in the air. The spectacle soon lost is whimsy, so i stopped staring in awe and ordered the posh one. To my surprise a delicious pizza arrived, Parma ham and mushroom, in all honesty I was expecting a deep doughy pizza akin to the slop dominoes pumps
Out. But the base of marneys pizza was crisp and the cheese and sauce warming to the taste.
I'll certainly be meandering down soon, if not for the pizza then to stare at the handsome young pizza artists. Perhaps I can flirt my self a free pizza. Then we'll see who the posh one is...ha

Friendly staff, great properly cook fresh food at sensible prices. Lovely garden with plenty of tables and seating. Will be back with other friends. Make sure you book as they get very busy and have a limit to the quantity of food available.

Best pub in the area
Great beer. Friendly staff. Great to sit outside in the beer garden on a warm summer night. Also great in winter.

Made a nice change from the local, pleasantly surprised and will visit again
Dropped in for a few evening beverages and decided to grab some food. Overall experience was great and will certainly return. Nice location, great Ale and good food.

This pub is slightly hidden away in Thames Ditton, close to Esher, but is worth finding! It seems to be a labour of love to me, really personalised & local. The setting is lovely, opposite a pond & a golf course. We went for Sunday lunch & sat outside as it was so sunny. There's loads of seating outside so a nice change from over-crowded riverside pubs. There's also a beautiful "secret garden" around the back with gorgeous rose bushes all around & children are not allowed, so quite romantic! The Sunday roasts are absolutely delicious with homemade yorkshires & amazing cauliflower cheese. The pulled pork roast & beef were very good. Prices are reasonable for the quality. I'm looking forward to my next visit already...
