We Believe in Delicious & Elegant Food

Marney’s Village Inn is the kind of proper English country pub that oozes old-fashioned charm, low-beamed ceilings, wooden farmhouse tables and cosy fireplaces – and the setting is lovely too.

Overlooking a pond with an attractive church on its far bank and the public golf course beyond, the pub does indeed have a village feel, but it’s also easily accessible from central London with fast trains from Waterloo to Esher taking only 20 minutes.

If you are planning a day trip to Hampton Court, it’s worth the five-minute drive down the road. Our home-made food is tasty and tempting; the type you just want to get stuck into on a winter’s day – soup of the day, deep-fried camembert, hot baguettes, steak and ale pie, chilli, not to mention our popular Sunday roast – but summer weekends are also filled with barbecues and jugs of Pimm’s in our pretty garden with its outside bar.
There’s a wonderful selection of wines and, as the nights draw in, fireworks and the festive season provide lots of opportunities to warm up over a glass of the mulled stuff.

We booked the three o'clock sitting for Sunday lunch for eight of us. Great food (roast beef was delicious with really good veg and Yorkshire pud, loads of horseradish and extra gravy in the side). We live close by and this is the first time we've been for Sunday lunch but definitely won't be the last. Great atmosphere, fab food, lovely friendly staff. Thank you!

Had salmon and dill fish cakes. My son and Grandson had lamb burgers with pate starter and halloumi starter. The food was very good. Nice quite old fashioned pub with good old fashioned service. It is tucked away out of the way so you have to look for it. We were in the area to watch my grandson play Rugby league. Nice way to pass an enjoyable afternoon after a Rugby win. The food was washed down with a nice couple of pints of Guinness!

Pizza Nights Had another lovely evening at Marney’s! The new year has brought in pizza nights on a Friday and Saturday night. My particular favourite is the camenbert and caramelised onion. They are serving meat and veggie options. I sampled margarita which is always a winner and ‘The Posh One’ which was rocket and panchetta with a blue cheese and mushroom. The pub was buzzy with a great atmosphere and the staff very attentive. Would highly recommend to sit in for pizza or if popping in for a drink on the way home then I hear they also do take aways!
